Good people. I had to talk about my projects. They explained how the company works., and what they expect from me. I talked about my 6 months UX Design course online
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Innovate Product Design (Salisbury, England) in Mar 2017
Interview
Initially had a phone call with the managing director of the company who called be to talk about my CV and basically asked me a questions about my CV which were clearly displayed on it like my university grade and website, initial impression was that he was in a rush and did not seem to read my CV before ringing me.
I was then invited to an interview at the company office in Salisbury, given a walkthrough of the "office" which is a really cramped one-floor office space and the "workshop" which had just one portable drill and a whiteboard in the tiny room.
The actual interview was terrible, I don't think the managing director knew what he was looking for, he was more interested in discussing profits made from the quote "terrible ideas" he made models and sketches for. Walked him through my portfolio and he dismissed most of my projects as too "techy" and just wanted to see "nice sketches" and cad models because quote "that's all we do here". I could not even get a salary range at second interview with was a giant red flag.
Overall, it was a complete was of time and money to interview for this company, honestly one of the worst companies I've interviewed for.
