I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Innovative Career Resources (Irvine, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
Zoom interview, this company is a recruiting company. They want to help you connect to the job description you applied for. Easy, friendly, casual and great staff. I would highly suggest to read up and study the company you will have final interview with.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Innovative Career Resources (Tustin, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
The interviewer asked some basic questions about me and why I wanted to work as an analyst. Then she offered to set me up with other places because of the long commute.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Innovative Career Resources (Irvine, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
They emailed and called me for an interview. We had a skype interview with basic personality, nontechnical questions. They scheduled an interview with the company they were contracting with almost immediately. They stayed in contact throughout the process. At the end of the interview process I had an offer 2 days later and that is when things went very south.
I was told to call on Monday as they had information about the interview and when I called my contact did not have time to talk. So the president and CEOcalled me back personally. When he called I asked about the details of the offer. He was not at all forthcoming He said it was going to be 18$/hr and that's literally all the info he volunteered. I asked specific questions like " does innovative offer benefits?" and got vague answers. Apparently they do offer "out of pocket" benefits but I have no idea what those even are. I asked about sick leave. They give the standard 3 days/year. It is what I expected but getting that information was akin to pulling teeth.
I asked for time to consider the offer, I asked for 5 business days. A standard amount of time to consider the offer. He said no. I asked for3 days to consider the offer. The answer was still no. I was told to let them know by the end of the next day. I asked for an email (any documentation at all really) of the offer and he said he would send me something. I didn't get it that day or the next. They called me the next day and for a variety of reasons I declined the offer. The CEO then called, apologized for not emailing me the offer and then proceeded to berate me for "wasting company time and money" by interviewing and declining the offer. The exact words, which he repeated several times were "I wish you had figured this out 4 days ago" with the interview having been only three days ago.
I wouldn't work for Innovative ever. The CEO apparently expects candidates to be so grateful they're getting a job that they shouldn't have questions.

Question 1
Tell me about your experience with lab work in college.
Thank you for your feedback as this is very important to us. We take customer service and your experience very seriously. Through these efforts we’ve been fortunate to win Career Builder’s Best of Staffing Award 4 years in a row… An award that less than 2% of all staffing agencies in North America to include Canada win.
I would be very happy to address each point you mentioned, as I believe there is somewhat of a disconnect in what was heard versus what was actually said. Please feel free to call me directly if you would like to discuss in greater detail.
As mentioned when we last spoke after you declined the position… We respect your decision, wish you nothing but the best and are confident that you will be successful in whatever path you choose.
I greatly appreciate your feedback, and moving forward will work at doing a better job of communicating this.
