Interview
I was contacted by the HR for front-end development role. In the initial discussion I had already mentioned that my notice period was 2 months and what technologies I've worked in.
The first round was telephonic discussion, post which I was called in for an interview at noida office for F2F technical round.
The technical discussion was not technical at all. The interviewer didn't know what is the latest technology nor did she have any idea about the frameworks.
I was not asked any technical questions, just the work I have done so far.
I was expecting a positive response as the questions were not technical, but the HR came in and said that the feedback is not positive. When I asked what was the feedback, she said, "you are very good in AngularJS, Javascript, but we are looking for someone who can work in jQuery"
I was taken aback by her response because the interviewer never asked me any technical questions regarding AngularJS, how could she have judged my skills?
Interviewing in Instant Systems was a complete time waste. How can an interviewer judge my skills without asking me technical questions or seeing my code. And the worst part is HR came up with generic statement for rejecting me.
