As a matter of fact, they knew there how good a photographer I was (still am), as they always saw my work in the weekend supplements of the Haaretz daily newspaper, where I had worked for over 20 years. They sent me to do a job for their magazine, were very pleased and hired me as a freelancer paid by the hour.
