I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at JM Family Enterprises
Interview
The interview process was incredibly long and drawn out. I interviewed for about 3 months and created 3 presentations/projects. The lower-end people were very polite although I sensed that people had to fake a smile all day to maintain their job and "fit in".
I interviewed multiple times, meeting team leaders, entire teams, panel interviews, and interviews with two VPs.
One VP was incredibly rude, looking down on me for my age. She asked me when I graduated from college (clearly stated on my resume for the past 4 months of interviewing with them) to gauge my age and she asked where I was from. I answered although this was incredibly inappropriate, and she scoffed at me, as if I was too young for her liking. She also stated her opinion of the region I am from. I believe that is borderline discriminatory (designed to be borderline as to not get in trouble) and I left feeling less than the person I am.
After and incredibly long process, they offered the job and sent me employment forms. Throughout the process, HR was a step behind what was actually happening. They got my name wrong multiple times.
Suddenly, after quitting my current job and preparing to transfer over, I received a TEXT (not a call, not an even an email) from my HR contact which stated that I was no longer considered for the role.
They gave no reason.
This was an extremely unprofessional experience and left me unemployed throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Months later, I am still searching for a job.
