The first interview was an introduction to the company and team structure. I did the same and talked about my background as well. Neutral feelings.
Got invited to the second interview. The technical interview involved general questions. But it was actually good, at least for me.
Pros:
1. The questions involved in both interviews were to check the attitude and approach of a possible hire to problem-solving. This is really important to me as well if I am interviewing someone.
2. The conversations were in a friendly manner.
Cons:
1. Somehow, they were late for both interviews. Not that late though. But it was more than 3+ minutes both times.
2. There were issues with the call connectivity, which I don't think I am responsible for since I have high-speed connectivity.
3. I was asked to turn off the camera along with them, which usually doesn't occur in any interviews, for me. This might have been caused by the connectivity.
But most of these cannot be blamed on the people, it just might be some unfortunate technical issues.
4. Ghosting. They do not reply if they didn't choose to go forward with you. They explicitly said they'll provide the feedback to me on the first interview, which, to this day, I haven't received. On the second interview, they said they'll get back within a week. It has been several weeks since. Even if you reach out to them, radio silence is all you get, so to speak.
For me, not keeping your schedules are a huge red flag and this should be expected from both the candidate and the company as basic decency. Even though I felt good about the whole experience during the process, but was left with a feeling of wasting my time.
