It was a screening call from a recruiter. She was nice . At first, she asked me some behavioral questions, and then she moved into the second part of the interview, which was based on ml and statistics. This was surprising to me because I never did face technical questions in a recruiter screening round.

It was about 30 minutes with a director. She went over my resume and asked some clarifying questions. She asked a technical question about RAG. Lasty asked if I had any questions.

How I would use RAG given I have an expert to work with.
First, HR reaches out with basic personal questions and 5 questions, including statistics, ML knowledge, and Python. Second, a technical interview including statistics like hypothesis testing, ML knowledge, and Python.

Interview
Got the first interview call around 10 days after applying. First call is the basic introductory call including 5 basic questions on Python and Statistics, second call is with senior data scientist or with VP. If call with VP, questions tend to be more focused on behavioral rather than completely technical. If with senior data scientist questions asked would almost certainly be just technical. Expect statistical (bayesian and frequentist), coding(depending upon resume) and resume walkthroughs with in-depth explanations to actions taken during past work experiences. You need to get 90% of the questions correct if you want to proceed to the next step - Call with VP.
