Panel interview with six total interviewers. Three employees were from the department, including the director and assistant director, as well as the direct supervisor. The well dean of student affairs was also in the panel, as well as two staff members from other departments across the university.
The interviewers asked a variety of situational and behavioral type questions. All were very thoughtful and directly related to the type of work I would be doing. To date, these have been some of the best interview questions I have ever received, and seemed to really get to the heart of my values, how I worked, and the skills I would be bringing into the job.
In addition to having great questions, the panel was warm and made me feel welcome. I could tell they genuinely wanted me to do well and had an earnest interest in getting to know me, if I was a good fit culturally, if my skills aligned and if I saw myself as a good fit. Because of this, I gave the best interview I have ever given, and I received an offer and accepted a position.
