Long interview, had to travel quite the distance although the position would be entirely remotely. While the pay rate is appealing, not entirely sure if there is work life balance.

Question 1
Tell me about a challenging situation you overcame?
Straight forward , general questions asked, resume points asked. Nothing specific and overall idea provided about the hiring process, jiffy.com, their day to day activities, business, customers . Was a zoom interview, first screening,
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Jiffy.com (Toronto, ON) in Jul 2022
Interview
There were 4 rounds of interview July 07, 2022 to July 22, 2022
1st round: General questions
2nd round: email round
3rd round: More specific and situational and behavioural questions by department manager.
4th round: Final round with senior HR where she mentioned to check the email within 24 hours for the offer..
It was an employee referral.
After 2 days when I didn’t receive offer in the email, I followed up and to my surprise they mentioned due to management decision they have pressed pause to batch of Aug 2022. I was promised that I will be the first one to receive information from them once they start new batch of training.
I followed up when they resume hiring in 2023 when I saw the job posting again and also the referral confirmed about hiring.
Honestly, it’s disappointing when you are given false hopes . Took almost 2 weeks of hiring interview process then paused hiring & giving hopes to keep me pipeline for the next batch. I was very optimistic and positive that they would respond. All in vain.
I will recommend not believe in what they say because they don’t keep up their own words.
