Interview
My boss actually had her hair up in a bun with flip flops and a hoodie when she interviewed me. We interviewed at Starbucks, and she even bought me a drink at her insistence!
During your interview, the empoyer will be more interested in your personality and personal background. There is not much pressure to look professional: this is not the goal of the company. Anyone who works for Journey's or its affiliates should be able to have fun, which is TOP priority. Journey's sells a positive experience to the customer, so be able to meet customers on their level. Be outgoing, talk to the customer like a friend or pal. That's what makes money in this business. Anyone can sell shows to anyone.
I originally submitted my application to a Journey's store separate from the one I work at now. I apparently left a very good impression on the manager, and he decided to walk my application to Underground by Journey's. (former Underground Station) This was very lucky for me, our store gets up to 30 applications a day. Personally, my boss confessed that she was not accostomed to interviewing. With further inspection I realized that she had taken over the store recently, and was suffering with unreliable staff and internal theft. Many problems were created by other Co managers. She hired me specifically for the position of Co-Manager. I started as a part timer at minimum wage and was promoted within 2 weeks.
Turnover may be high at your local store. The job is easy, but if you aren't enthusiastic about it, it's easy to slack. You WILL be replaced if you don't meet your SOP's or otherwise are apathetic about the job. If you enjoy the job and can stick with simple work, there's often opportunity to move up.
Easy process. Very chill and good environment. Overall the job is a very fun and relaxed environment with a little bit of controlled chaos. Would recommend for anyone needing sales experience

Interview
honestly pretty easy. Open ended questions that require
1) situation
2) actions took
3) results
most people don't answer all three, but if you show potential and your open hours are good youre almost guaranteed a position.
