      Application

      I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Judge.me in Feb 2024

      Interview

I applied through a recruiter agency and had the initial technical interview with a consultant, where I was asked general knowledge questions about Ruby on Rails, databases (SQL), message brokers, my previous experience and what kind of projects I worked on and technologies used. The consultant gave me a brief description of how the the application stack, infrastructure and how the team operates, their software development process. I also had to take an online timed test, structured in 3 parts, each taking 10 minutes. A section was oriented on computer science knowledge (without being focused on a certain programming language), one section had logical questions (e.g in this series, which number comes next). The next stage was the home assignment which I very much preferred over live leetcode type of exercises, because it resemebles a lot the day-to-day work. As the other reviewers mentioned, there was a lot of work to be done and I realised from the beginning I'm not going to finish all requirements. So I timeboxed it to max 6h and prioritized the features required. Even if I didn't complete the assignment, I qualified to the next stage, in-person interview at the office with the CTO and Head of Product that took about 1.5 hours. Communication via the recruiter was quite efficient, updates were given in the previously communicated timelines.
