      Server Interview

      20 Oct 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Miami Beach, FL
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Juvia (Miami Beach, FL) in Feb 2015

      Interview

Straightforward. I had experience so we just went over to where I worked and for how long. Every server has to be a busser and a runner first. So they proceed to make you clear a table with a tray, how to set a table and all those details to evaluate your performance.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Juvia (Miami Beach, FL) in Dec 2017

      Interview

Request for interview by email. Accepted interview for a couple days after communication. Great conversation with hiring manager. Upbeat, lot of energy. I am qualified so not too many logistical/knowledge questions. More of a chance to get to know me a little and feel me out. Need passion. The job is certainly a major commitment. The process of becoming a server is fairly unusual and laborious, but I imagine well worth it once you're done and making that good money. 7 week basically of training and shadowing before taking the your own tables on the floor. Paid busser and food runner wages until then. Seems promising but accepting the job is actually a financial investment on your part you need to make money right away or if you are already working and making good money. Would be best to accept a job at the end of season so you're training during the slower months and not missing out on server money during the busy months some place else. Decent benefits for healthcare. Everything else pretty standard. Good stuff.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Juvia (Miami, FL) in May 2013

      Interview

They are unsure about what they are looking for. Confusing about what type of restaurant it is. Didn't seem like a pleasant environment . Offered a job as a busser and made it seem like that was a favor.
