      Lead Teacher Interview

      8 Jun 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Washington, DC
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in Jun 2015

      Interview

I was recruited and asked to come in for an in person meeting. I had to submit a video of myself teaching and talk to a few staff members. I was encouraged to observe and felt like it was a good place. I later learned I was not told the whole truth about the school and its culture.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in Apr 2018

      Interview

The interview process took about 45 minutes with the recruitment person. She was very nice and asked for very tangible answers. I highly suggest coming up with behavioral questions yourself and how you grew from them.

      Lead Teacher Interview

      21 Apr 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Washington, DC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in Nov 2017

      Interview

The interview process was very straight-forward. You complete a general application, if they are interested based on your resume you will be moved to the second phase which involves an formal interview over the phone. Based on that interview they will decided whether they want you to come in for a formal in-person interview. They will pay for travel and accommodation for one night. The actual day of the interview is long. However, very pleasant. Every school principal was very welcoming. The students were very well-behaved. You will have to teach a lesson, in which you will be observed and then following the lesson you will be given feedback. This is the most stressful part but besides that it was a great interview process.
