When I interviewed (2001), I first had to submit my official test scores. When I was found to be score qualified, I was asked to prepare a 5-minute, non-academic teaching presentation to display my classroom skills. After I passed that, there was an hour-long standard interview, and then a lengthy period of training, during which some teachers were let go, and only those who passed moved on.

Round 1 - You are asked to prepare a short presentation where you teach a problem (from the test you want to tutor for) to a Kaplan interviewer and other interviewees. If you do a good enough job, you move on to round 2.
Round 2 - 1-on-1 interview over Skype. You are asked common interview questions such as "why do you want to be a tutor", and "what kind of teaching experience do you have?" If they like you, they'll extend an offer.
