I applied through university. I interviewed at KeHE Distributors (Minneapolis, MN) in Mar 2026
Interview
The hiring manager reached out, I applied, and had a first interview with him over the phone. Everything was super slow, and didn't respond until I followed up. Then another interview with another HR, then last interview with hiring manager. The hiring manager was very kind and professional. Finally a month after following up multiple times, HR said we won't have hiring for that location! However, the location was mentioned in the job posting and confirmed in the interviews!!

Interview
After a phone screen, I did a 90 minute interview in two parts: 45 minutes with one group of two specialists and 45 minutes with one group of two managers. The interviewers were very stoic and were not forthcoming about how they felt about my answers or our interview. Staying within time was very important to all interviewers. They told me they'd get back to me within a week. After 8 days, I contacted the recruiter who gave me a phone screen and received no response, which is very unprofessional after an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most of the questions were standard, and they did ask me to explain how I parted ways with my last employer. The most unexpected question I was asked was, "What's something people misunderstand about you?"
I applied online. I interviewed at KeHE Distributors (Naperville, IL) in Jan 2026
Interview
The process began with a recruiter screening, followed by a Teams call with a hiring manager. I was then invited for an in-person interview with two additional managers. Despite sending two follow-up emails expressing my continued interest and thanking the team for their time, I never received further communication or a final decision from KeHE. Ghosting a perspective employee is unprofessional.
