I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kearny Bank (Pompton Lakes, NJ) in Aug 2021
Interview
Very easy going. Done right in the branch. Most are done in the corporate setting, but this was much easier. It was a simple desk sit down and the questions were not various.
Had a phone interview. Had a video panel interview, Followed up just to get a generated HR we are not. Loving forward. Asked recruiter for feedback and received no response

Question 1
What would u do with a struggling bank branch and branch manager
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kearny Bank (Paterson, NJ) in Feb 2025
Interview
I received a screening call from HR. The next week I met with the hiring manager on Zoom. 2 weeks later I traveled in-person to their HQ office in NJ where I met the hiring manger and a lead team member. The interview was 60 minutes but we spoke for about 100 minutes. I learned so much about the role specifically, my resume was dissected during each interview. A lot of the questions were based on my personal experience, the manager really wanted to grasp my understanding of the industry. Overall a smooth process, good communication. I didn't get the role but I enjoyed the interview process. This was considered a junior level position but in this industry its understandable that a candidate needs to be flexible in terms of skills. Most questions had to do with the job description + anything you can relate from your background, as well as your education not so much on the extra curriculars.
