      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Kepler Group in Sept 2021

      Interview

Everyone else on here laid it out real nice. I applied online and heard back after a few weeks to schedule a phone screen. The phone screen was scheduled to last 30 minutes, but we were done after around 15. I guess this didn't hurt because I got a second round. I spoke with a Senior Analyst and they asked basic behavioral questions. I heard back about a week later to schedule another 2 interviews followed by a presentation. This part consisted of 2 30-45 minute interviews, followed by a 5 minute presentation I gave to a panel of employees. The first was part behavioral, part case study where we walked through some marketing strategies and decisions. The second was strictly a case study with some graph analysis. No questions were too difficult and the interviewers were helpful and kind. I spent a lot of time on the presentation, and the panel asked thoughtful and engaging questions. They made it seem like they were very interested in me and my work. A week later I received a very generic email saying they would not be moving forward with my application. This is fine, however I am very disheartened by the lack of effort they put into this email after the amount of time I had given them. I had a friend applying for the company at the same time, and he only made it to the phone screen but we received the EXACT. SAME. EMAIL. Word for word, sent 5 minutes apart. This annoyed me because I spent half a day interviewing with this company and was very excited and encouraged at the things they had to say. And then they said they were looking for someone with "different experiences".... this is something they could have known by glancing at my resume. Not giving me feedback is fine, but sending me the exact same email as someone who didn't make it past the phone screen (30 minutes) vs. the 2 hours of time I gave them just seems a bit rude. I truly adored everyone I had talked to and it seems like a great place to work. But really, they should approach the rejection process better.
