The interview felt more conversational. The firm seemed more focused on making sure of fit. The interview process started off with an introduction to the firm and an overview of benefits.

Question 1
What was one thing you failed at, outside of school and how did you handle it?
I applied through university. I interviewed at Kernutt Stokes (Eugene, OR) in Oct 2015
Interview
My initial meeting with Kernutt Stokes was at the OSCPA event in Portland Oregon. I chatted with a few employees from the firm and ended up giving them my resume at the end of our conversation. They called a few days later and invited me to come to their office with about 10 other students for a group reception event. The group event consisted of casual conversations, food, and a few members of the firm explained their jobs and why they like working at KS. The HR manager called me later that week to set up a panel interview at a restaurant. That interview was about 30 minutes long and it was very casual and they just wanted to get to know you and see if you would be a good fit. There were a couple “interview” questions they asked, but nothing too difficult. About a week or two after that they called me for the final round of interviews and it consisted of six interviews with various partners and managers and in between interviews we had to do a writing sample about why we chose to go into accounting. The entire process took from the beginning of October and I signed my offer letter late November.
