      Technical Sales Engineer Interview

      9 Sept 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Keyence in Sept 2014

      Interview

Submitted a last minue application for this position, one of my college classmates worked at Keyence starting 3 years ago just out of college. Got booked phone interview the 2nd day, and the Math and Personality test within a couple days. The phone interview was generic questions including tell me about yourself, why sales etc. Did fine with all of these and got emailed for a face-to-face interview at their office in Missisauga. Got there early and was interviewed by two relative young guys (my age) who were neither welcoming nor very interested. Apparently with part time sales experiences in retail after a recognized local degree in Engineering was not better than my classmate who joined them right after graduation with no absolutely experiences (similar academic skills too). They obviously looked down on the fact that I was in part time retail after an Engineering degree with vague explanation for 2 years of second degree and unemployment. Next day received the generic "no-go" email.
