Non-Koreans should be careful regarding big promises which are made during early stages of interviews and contract teaching. Typically, these are not fulfilled and KHU attempts to get you committed by re-location and other costs before providing a "contract" that does not reflect the original terms.
You must get offer in writing before arriving, do not trust Korean Universities in general as they exploit foreign academics' goodwill. There are many unhappy experiences. Beware!
They had four screening stages. Research presentation had to be done at the 2nd stage with professors at the department. Interviews at 3rd. Final interview is performed with CEO of the foundation. Remote online interview was possible.
