The interview for the UI/UX Designer role was disappointing and felt misaligned with the position. Surprisingly, there were no questions related to UI/UX design, tools, design processes, or problem-solving skills. Instead, the interviewer focused heavily on my bachelor's degree and branch, which are not directly relevant to design.
Even though I have completed multiple certifications in UX that are highly relevant to this role, they were barely discussed. It seemed like my qualifications and skills were overlooked.
After the interview, I reviewed the interviewer’s LinkedIn profile and noticed that my academic background, certifications, and design experience are stronger in comparison. This gave me the impression that the evaluation was biased and not based on relevant skills for the role.
Overall, the experience was frustrating because I didn’t get a fair chance to showcase my capabilities as a designer.
