      Recruiter Interview

      5 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at LaSalle Network (Chicago, IL) in Dec 2017

      Interview

Was called by a recruiter whom had wanted to know if I was seeking employment. Her name was Alexandra. Very nice person. I told her that I was but it was unlikely that I would be interested in a temp job. They ended up having an older resume on file after briefly discussing what I had been up to. I had more 2 more years of work experience than they had on file. I told her that I was actually looking into Recruiters roles. I currently work at a staffing agency but explained to her that I work in inside sales and am not a recruiter but it is the position I want. After going over my resume she agreed and said that I sound like I could possibly be a good fit for the team. I was very thankful for this as I actually always wanted to work at LaSalle and thought it might be fate. I went in for my scheduled interview a few days later. Met with Sarah who was also I very nice person. The interview was pretty relaxed. Mostly just talking about my past experiences. Felt really good about it. I could tell she thought I was a strong candidate and was excited to hear the outcome. After two business days, got a voicemail from Sarah saying that the hiring managers decided to go in a different direction. I was a little surprised because I felt like I was a perfect fit for the company and job and felt I had nailed the interview. She was very nice about it and I was thankful that not only did she get back to me very quickly, but she called me as opposed to sending me an email which was a nice gesture that she didn't have to do. I wanted to share this experience because of all the people that said they either didn't get a response after an interview, or bait and switched them or called them resume collectors. Even though I am no doubt disappointed in LaSalle for not giving me a chance to join their team, they were very nice, professional, and timely about the denial. So don't be scared to apply. Getting an offer letter I can't help you on that. Good luck to all!
