I applied in-person. I interviewed at Ladera Lending
Interview
A waste of time very unprofessional didn't seem to have a lot of experience in mortgage lending and the office was EMPTY as well, i didn't hear the phone ring once, that was a bad sign, left after 15min, should have just walked out seeing the place with no heads.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ladera Lending (Lake Forest, CA)
Interview
I was interviewed by 2 managers/owners. Standard questions about experience in the industry and at first laid back. The first one (dark hair) was professional normal/ the second one (younger? upbeat, big tv in his office) was not. Instead of letting me know that my experience was not a fit he proceeded to ask me inappropriate questions that were sexist. I would have called that office back or wrote something sooner, but I was in shock for awhile.
I wrote some of the questions below that were sexist and inappropriate. After letting him know that I do not plan or getting married or having children, he lazily told me to go try Loan Depot and that they train. I honestly do not even know why I answered and just walked out- I think a state of shock of the lack of professionalism and shame on his end. I hope he gets called out one day. Also- the recruiter who referred me had said they take extra long to fill positions.

This is going to be a tough position. Are you married?
Do you have kids? No? I mean you're thirty, im sure you are going to want them and this is a heavy filled position it takes a lot of your time. Are you sure this is right for you? Are you going to settle down?
