The interview was long but completely casual. There’s no tough questions or any sort of case based interview. They mostly want to see if your personality mixed well with the company. Sometimes Dr. Laffer will interview people and sometimes he’s out of the office. They love to hear that you’re aware of Laffer’s work and that you love to learn new things and have your ideas challenged.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Laffer Associates (Nashville, TN) in May 2015
Interview
Very easy. Shot them an email and they responded quickly to set up a second interview. Next I talked to their intern manager and he told me some more details about the opportunity. There were not really any questions and it was overall a very relaxed over the phone process.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Laffer Associates in Feb 2014
Interview
I was contacted for this position through a recruiter. The entire process was smooth and easy going. The communications were very quick and professional. The first step was to do an in person interview with the recruiter to ensure she wanted to make the recommendation for the position. Following that my references were requested and checked. Laffer Associates then requested that I come in for an in person interview. The interview was laid back and the office atmosphere was awesome. The business is a small business and I met a good number of people while at the office including Art Laffer Jr., CEO. I also met a handful of the operations staff that I would have worked with and it seemed like a young professional group that were very friendly. In my opinion, their main focus was to ensure that the person they went on to employ was a good match personality wise.
