I applied online. I interviewed at Land Transport Authority (Singapore) in Jan 2026
Interview
First, I have a self introduction with a sense of humour. Then, they asked my past studying and working experience, master thesis, curriculum experience, and etc. Overall, this is a good experience.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Land Transport Authority (Singapore) in Oct 2025
Interview
Written and technical assessments but the questions were pretty pathetic. Apparently the questions they ask are reused countless times. No virtual meetings, they require you to go to their campus to meet with the panel physically. Not much point as the questions the panels asked weren't interesting.
They also schedule many candidates interviews back to back which constantly overrun, so if you're not the first candidate of the day, be prepared to wait.
Interviews were also messy as sometimes another division could just "show up" unannounced to an interview so there maybe unanticipated people in your panel.

Question 1
Why did you apply for LTA/ this specific role/ division.
I applied online. I interviewed at Land Transport Authority (Singapore) in Oct 2025
Interview
Went for 8 interviews across LTA's RAOM and RSE departments. In summary, if you don't have First or Second Upper Class Honours. Don't even think of applying, they will not select you. (Much contrary to those who say skillsets matters more than results in public service) Those nicer and more upfront interviewers will draw questions like "Why were you not doing very well in your studies?". Those more screwed up ones will throw off-topic questions that is totally related to the jobscope in a condescending manner like "tell me what you know" and then shoot you down the drain. One of the interview even got low EQ interviewers who cross talk during the interview halfway, clearly uninterested. Anyway, LTA will take usually months to come back with the results of whether go formal interview or reject at 1st stage. (I ghosted their offer for formal interview anyway, after already like 3 months into my new job). So if other companies offer, just go for it. Often it will be better life than working odd hours and not getting the respect than just for the travel benefit (probably the only perks to join LTA or PTOs)
