I went through this staffing agency for an opportunity to get interviewed at PPG in Pittsburgh, PA. Even with a degree, fresh out of college I was convinced by the staffing agency that I should through the Technical Support route to get into the company, and settle for a lower salary in hopes to have small increases over a 1 - 2 year period.
After a phone interview and then a face-to-face interview with the staffing agency, I was booked at PPG to take an assessment test, which was kinda lame. You can't study for the test and you have about 20 minutes to answer over 100 questions. They don't tell you what you need to pass the assessment, and you don't know how well you did until about 2 or 3 days later. A total waste of time, and glad I did not get the position to settle for the salary that was offered.
I ended up actually getting a job in the field that I wanted with a reasonable salary for my degree.
