I applied for a General Manager position with one of their facilities. Shortly after, I received an email with directions to complete an assessment to continue the process. Within a day of completing the assessment, I was contacted by an employee to set up a video interview. The interview questions were antiquated and basic. Just go ahead and Google generic interview questions because I believe that is what they did. I put in time to research the company to prepare for the interview. I had a list of ideas from my research and had detailed explanations regarding how my experiences and strengths could help with the company. I work in the industry and believed I had a great feel for what the job entitled and how I could help. The interviewer was not interested and just wanted to ask the stock interview questions. When I asked simple questions, like how large the staff was or specifics about the role, I got round-about answers that led me to believe that the interviewer wasn't sure. Now, they did tell me there would be a second round of interviews -so- I'm sure things got more in-depth at that point. I was not called for a second interview. I was really disappointed when I was stuck answering the generic questions. I felt like I had wasted my time.
