      Application

I interviewed at LifeLabs Learning (San Francisco, CA)

      Interview

The application starts with three prompts, which ask you to complete the questions in under 400 words. 1. What drew you to the Program Consultant role at LifeLabs and how do your skills and experiences align with this role? (400 words max) 2. Please share a time when you had to meet or exceed specific sales targets. How did you approach the challenge, and what strategies did you use to achieve your goals? (400 words max) 3. Tell us about how you typically manage your client relationships. How do you prioritize different clients and ensure you're meeting their needs while driving sales?(400 words max) --- This essential gives them a writing sample. *400 words max* makes you feel as if the longer, the better, and that is roughly 1-page response. If you get past this point, your immediate next step is a mock Discovery call, which you must obviously prepare for. After the mock discovery call, you are asked to send a follow-up email within 24hrs(second writing sample). During the mock discovery, you are scored on product knowledge, without ever being able to speak to someone in the role or potential manager. Essentially, you are spending 5-10 hours before you even get to ask a single question about the company. What are prospecting expectations? Is this an inbound or outbound role? What is the company culture, why is the position open, or what compensation/benefits? It is a one-way interview process. So, you are applying for a job that you have committed a ton of time to and only have information about a mock discovery call. The interviewer has never seen your resume and knows nothing about you. They believe this makes it non-biased.

Thank you for taking the time to participate in our interview process and leave feedback about your experience. We understand the time and effort candidates put into each step, and we appreciate your commitment. At LifeLabs, we have a very intentional interview process that, while intensive, is designed to reduce bias and ensure a fair assessment for all candidates. We are actively working to add more elements, including more frequent touch points throughout the process, to improve communication and candidate experience. If candidates have any questions or concerns during the process, we provide direct access to our hiring team and encourage them to reach out at any time.
