1. Phone interview
Person asked about my MVC experience. I explained how I did MVC and they were interested.
2. In person interview
Person asked me to show them how I did MVC and then right after said they never seen it done that way and that my way was wrong. I tried to explain to them the alternative way but the Lead dev just didn't want to hear it. He insist that his way is the correct way. Seems like the only reason he called me in was to show him an alternative way to MVC. It was a waste of time.
From the look of the company and the tone of the interviewers, I got a feeling they were looking for a "yes man". They want someone who agrees with their methodologies and support the lead developer's decisions. Any small disagreements will cause an imbalance in the energy of the company. They make energy pills and "biohacking" stuff. After asking that question, I saw an immediate negative reaction as if they were offended.
TLDR: be a yes man and you will be hired.
