I applied on a popular career site received a email from the general manager if I could schedule to meet, the position was for a full time bartender at the DoubleTree in mesa i assume it was for the hotel lobby since it's the only bar in the hotel. so I said yes and what dates I was available to meet with the chef, 2 days later I arrive checked In at the front desk they said he would be right out after waiting 20 mins over the schedule time I went back to the front desk a man who may have been a manager contact the person I was supposed to interview with then ask me if he called me ? I said no within a few more mins my phone was ringing. I answered and it was the interviewer who said I'm sorry I forgot my son got sick and i just took off he said the position is on call for the fall for banquets and asked if I wanted to reschedule I said no. I double check the posting a few minutes ago it says nothing about banquet starting in the fall (it's currently July) or on call. The interviewer I was supposed to meet with was full of red flags so I past on the reschedule it had nothing to do with what the posting said the pay is state min wage I don't know of many places that pay banquet workers only minimum. none of it makes sense more upset my time was wasted this was a unprofessional experience.
