      Transit Security Officer I Interview

      16 Aug 2017
      Anonymous employee
      Los Angeles, CA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Los Angeles Metro (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2017

      Interview

I applied online through the metro website for the Transit Security Officer I position. I had to wait four weeks before I got a notification through the email. Then, I had to go down Union Station for a multiple choice test. It's not that hard just basic grammar and scenarios that you might face on the job. If you pass that, then the next step will be the physical agility test. You will also be notified through email. If you pass, the recruiter will schedule you for an interview right there on the spot. It will be two weeks after the test. Then, the interview which will not be hard at all. They'll will just ask you scenarios and see how you handle them. However, I suggest that make copies of all your personal stuff like: social security card, drivers license, firearm permit and etc to bring to the interview. That way you can start your personal history statement immediately. And if pass your interview (which will be a panel of two or three) they will invite you for the lifespan. After that, they will start your background investigation which will take two to six weeks to complete (Your background investigator will send your paperwork off) .Afterwards, you will take a psychological examination and that will take at least four hours to finish. Luckily it's not a pass/fail test, they just want to see where your mind is at. Then, you should receive a phone call in the next day or two to schedule an interview with a psychologist. This will be a pass/fail. All I can say is just be yourself and you'll be okay. Now, that all the hard stuff is over with you have to be extremely patient. Because it may take two to three months for a final interview with the head of the department. That pretty much will be the job offer right there. As you can see the process is very long. But, if you already have a job and are a patient person then these six or seven months fly by real fast.

      Question 1

If a Metro employee parks in a disabled spot without a placard would you still write him up a citation?
