It was a lengthy four-week interview process with very little communication or constructive feedback throughout.
The role was initially advertised as a Social Media Manager position, but later shifted to an LPU Online-focused role. During the process, I was asked to prepare and present multiple presentations, yet no meaningful feedback was shared after the first presentation. After waiting another week, I eventually received a response and was moved to the final stage.
What was particularly surprising was that the final round began almost as if the process had restarted from scratch, requiring another introduction and presentation. Despite investing considerable time and effort over four weeks and preparing two separate presentations, I was ultimately not selected.
What made the experience more challenging was the lack of interaction during the presentations. There were virtually no questions, discussions, or attempts to understand my thinking, strategy, or approach. In several instances, slides appeared to be quickly skipped through, making it difficult to gauge whether the work was being properly evaluated.
While I fully respect an organization's right to select the candidate they believe is the best fit, a clearer communication of expectations and more constructive feedback would have made the process far more transparent and valuable for candidates investing significant time and effort.
