I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Arlington, TX) in May 2010
Interview
I only had one interview which was a face to face interview with the HR manager. The questions were very vague and general. Asked the typical "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" types of questions. After the face to face interview, I received a call back within the same week offering a position and requested a drug test.

Interview
It starts with an online application, sometimes followed by a short 15–20 minute phone or video screen where a recruiter checks your availability, experience and communication skills. After that, you’ll have an in-person interview with the hiring manager covering customer service, teamwork and basic job capabilities, with questions like how you’d handle a price dispute or a short register drawer.

They asked me personal questions like hobbies I do and stuff outside of work. Asked about prior experience. The usual stuff. No questions like what would you do in this situation.
