I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Gladstone, MO) in Sept 2012
Interview
It is a two-step interview. First, you will interview with the Human Resources manager and then with your zone manager, or, "ASM". Here they will ask you several questions about your experiences work and non-work related. If chosen, you will be called to complete a drug test and then start orientation

Question 1
"Tell me about a time you could not help a customer, what did you do?"
I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Zephyrhills, FL)
Interview
Rather easy interview process. There were only a handful of questions that were pretty standard for a retail position. When the interview was scheduled, I was told it was one person, but ended up being another person conducting the interview, which wasn't a big deal, but when you go in to the place it's nice to ask for the correct person.

Question 1
When was a time that you've gone above and beyond for a customer?
It was Easy and I was able to get the job done. It was a good experience and I had a great time. Questions asked were about my experience with home improvement.
Pretty easy interview. Basic questions about work history. What experience you have pertaining to the role. A few scenario questions about customer interaction and teamwork. Pretty much show confidence you can handle the job.
