I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at M.A.R.C Management (Newmarket, ON) in Apr 2016
Interview
It was a 2 day interview. First one was more of a conversation, we didn't really go over that much, next was a 3 hour shadowing and trying out the job myself. The office sounded cool at first but the second interview was horrible. Everyone is crammed in these tiny cubicles and everyone is just making calls all day with music blasting so loud while the manager or VP walks around dancing and singing and basically distracting everyone. It's unprofessional and loud and even people on the phones can hear it all in the background. The VP was extremely rude as well and asked me if I wanted the job on the spot. I was hesitant because of the overwhelming experience so I asked for some time to think. He then asked me why and I replied saying I am looking into all my options. He then proceeded to tell me it was a trick question and that I had basically declined his offer which then proceeded with him ripping up my resume and file in front of me and throwing it in the trash. The most disrespectful, unprofessional VP I have ever met and if I could I would talk to HR about his behaviour. Not a welcoming environment and definitely not somewhere you want to work full time. watch out, they act like they have minimum positions to fill but they will basically take anyone who can sell. Also a huge waste of time because the VP will proceed to lecture you on the law of attraction and how it will get so far in life.

Interview
I applied online, then I got a phone call from the receptionist asking if I was available that week. I went for the interview and you're given a form and a questionnaire to fill. The interview was done in this cove near the front desk. It's not much of an interview, he glanced through my resume and snickered at one of the companies I worked for and tried to let me know MARC was better than it, then made small talk about my ambitions. All of this is irrelevant though, they'll hire you as long as you say you want the job.

Question 1
Run around the mill questions and generally small talk. Commission was never even mentioned in my interview.

Interview
Stay away! I went in for what sounded like a great job and it was non existent. The only thing they care about is finding sales people that are on 100% commission.
Thank you for the review. I am confused as to why you think that you were scammed. We are seeking Customer Service Representatives who are interested in a salary of 40-45k. We do offer different pay structures as a lot of our reps have asked to be on commission. We are also a full service advertising firm, all of our services are listed on our website. We started with our "Box- Topper Program" which became a huge success and has expanded across Canada and the US. We then created other innovated marketing tools which are taking off or have taken off very quickly. Thank you for your time, all the best in your future endeavours.
