I applied online. I interviewed at MAKER LAB (Sydney) in Feb 2026
Interview
I completed a five round interview process with Maker Lab, for a full-time Senior role with an end client. The process included a full-day unpaid task. At the end of the process and meeting with Senior management, I was ghosted, and all emails went ignored.

Question 1
I was asked to complete a full suite of collateral, including landing page, emails, social media posts, and overarching themes.
Pretty much panned out the way they described. Varies from client to client but for the most part the terms are conditions were convenyed transparently (I was on a fixed term contract)
While they did promise they'd try to relocate me to a different account after my contract ended, this fell through because of no headcount. Guess i should've thought as much.
I spoke to a recruiter from Maker Lab. Although an email was sent earlier detailing the agenda of the discussion, including talking about your "career highlights and aspirations", the actual conversation followed a different path. I was asked to talk about "the most complex design I have done", amongst other technical related questions. I thought Maker Lab would be different from other agencies, but my experience proved me wrong.
