I applied online. I interviewed at MIDLAND (New York, NY) in Dec 2020
Interview
The entire interview process was conducted through Skype Live Chat, which is essentially just a typed conversation back and forth-- no real face to face communication involved. After only one conversation via Skype Live Chat, I was offered the position the next day also via typed message. It all seemed very sketchy. The position was also listed on LinkedIn as a position for Midland Arts Paper, a collaborative online journal working with the University of Birmingham. When the interview began, it became apparent this was not the same company as the listing stated.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at MIDLAND (Des Plaines, IL)
Interview
Interviewed 4 times. Even went on a drive along. Promised they'd call back. After numerous emails and calls, not even a "thanks but no thanks". No excuse for their total unprofessionalism.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MIDLAND (Wheeling, IL) in Jan 2015
Interview
Initially the interview seemed positive but as a temp do you really need to have a 90 minute interview with one manager? Such a waste of time when the hiring manager is so reluctant to hire full time help. Midland has the potential to be a nice place to work but there needs to be more oversight of certain managers who have no budget limitations when it come to staffing their department. The manager prefers very passive individuals who are desperate for a job.

Question 1
How many years of experience? Obviously that's a no brainer.
