      Interview

The MIT graduate school interview process typically involves an assessment of the applicant's academic achievements, research experience, and potential fit for the program. Applicants often submit a detailed application, letters of recommendation, and academic transcripts. Those shortlisted may be invited for interviews, which can be one-on-one with faculty or group sessions. Interviews assess the candidate's knowledge in their field, research interests, and interpersonal skills. The process aims to identify candidates who can excel academically and contribute meaningfully to MIT's research community.

I emailed the professor, who scheduled a call to speak with me. It is helpful if you have a pre-existing tie to MIT. Definitely varies depending on who you reach out to, but very worth reaching out in the first place.
