Great interview, talked about several opportunities, owner seemed like a nice, up front person. Staff kind of unfriendly in the front of the office, seemed cramped and "mill like" in front. She gave me some free magazines of their work, very impressive content and lay out, felt like it would be a great opportunity for me. Got a job offer through email, after I went by to start the position (thankfully I had not quit my other job yet because I had no official offer in my hands other than the emails) I was treated horribly. The assistant said she had "tried" to contact me to tell me the owner no longer wished to hire me. Right in front of everyone in the office. This is the second time she supposedly TRIED to reach me despite them having all of my information. It was humiliating and upsetting I was treated so shabbily. I tried to reach out to the owner once again in a professional manner to at last find out if there was a reason for the sudden change of heart, nothing. Not even an apology for wasting my time, truly disappointed because I had so wanted to work with her and for such a great array of savvy, well-done publications. I see they constantly advertise for writers but consistently want to pay very little. So sad to me for an industry where we can really help people and support better health and living. I so want to support this company but sadly, I feel I ought to warn others.
