HR rep called and asked a few general questions and followed up by email to schedule an in person interview with the manager and director. The manager and director did not seem to know how to conduct a proper interview. They just made general watercooler conversation without assessing my skills or experience. In the end I recieved a standard rejection email from the HR recruiter stating that they had placed someone else in the position. It was not a fair interview process, as they appeared disinterested and wanted to complete the interview as soon as possible. Did not ask any questions to assess my skills or competencies. Many times throughout the interview, the manager and the director had no idea of common market research frameworks and words , and I ended up having to explain it to them. The manager actually laughed at me when I told her about one of my previous position doing market research surveys.
