I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Maverik (Boise, ID) in Nov 2025
Interview
I saw the position posted on Indeed and applied. Roughly 2 weeks later I received an email from a recruiter based in Salt Lake City, Utah. I scheduled a phone interview for the next day. The recruiter called and we chatted for roughly 10 minutes asking about my general experience and if I had any inventory experience. I was told he would like to schedule me for a Teams meeting with the Lead Auditor based in Provo, Utah.
I was less than impressed with this Lead Auditor. I was asked one question from her "What did you do today?" I was slightly taken back from that but answered it anyway. Spoke for about 5 minutes about the weather and other topics. Mind you, nothing about my experience or skills. She told me I was the first she interviewed in my area (Boise) and that she thinks I would do great and would reach out before Thanksgiving.
Fast forward 2 weeks, I get an email saying thanks but no thanks. I fail to see how the Lead Auditor can get a grasp about my skills and abilities by asking me about what I did today. Complete waste of time and Maverik should reconsider who does their first Teams interview. She completely put me off of Maverik and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now one.
