      Accountant Interview

      1 Apr 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irvine, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I interviewed at MaxLinear (Irvine, CA)

      Interview

The interview process was unexpectedly long and felt unstructured. The final round alone lasted about 3 hours, with additional interviewers joining without prior notice. While it’s understandable that companies want to thoroughly evaluate candidates, the process felt excessive and did not seem to respect the candidate’s time. The experience came across as more evaluative than conversational, which made it difficult to feel comfortable or present your best self. Overall, the interview process raised concerns about the company’s organization and communication, as well as its overall culture.
