      Power Systems Engineer Interview

      19 Dec 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Jose, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MaxLinear (San Jose, CA) in Nov 2017

      Interview

phone interview with IC design group. He explained what system engineers do and I decided I would like to do that. About two weeks later I had a phone call with a manager of power systems engineering. I explained my role in power IC design and asked for an interview in his group. On site, the questions were almost completely technical, very few behavioral. Company seems to have a good business plan and people did not seem overworked.
