I interviewed for a position in late July 2016 via LinkedIn. I was contacted by the inside recruiter for a phone screen. The phone screen went well and I completed an online 'personality test'. I then went to a face to face interview and was asked about my interest in another role within in the company. The 'other role' was interesting and seemed like a perfect fit based on my background. I then did a phone interview with the hiring manager and it went well. I then met in person with one of the area managers and a 'sales rep' at a hospital. This interview went ok- didn't get the best vibe from the sales rep. I followed up with the inside recruiter after the interview and he immediately replied and said he would follow up with me on next steps. It was about a week and I didn't hear anything. I then called and spoke with the inside recruiter and he said" "let's touch base next week" (this was last Friday). Again, no word- silence. I sent an email on Wed., this week and again no response. I am utterly disappointed and astonished by the lack of follow-up and professionalism. It almost makes we wonder is the recruiter uncomfortable telling me I'm no longer in the running? Or sadly, is this just 'how they roll'? Or, are they so busy follow-up falls to wayside?! I have not sent another email and I plan on discontinuing my follow-up. Though disappointed- perhaps this was meant to be.
