I applied for the position in early July of 2012 and received a phone call back about a week and a half later. The interview lasted about 10 to 15 minutes or so and the HR representative asked me standard questions such as why I was interested and what are my strengths and weaknesses. However, I was suspicious when she started asking manufacturing questions which was confusing to me because there was not one explicit or implied mention of manufacturing. I answered the question as best I could and then she stated that I would periodically be working in manufacturing but did not elaborate any further. When I was asked about salary, I tried to ask what she had budgeted for the position and she refused to give out that information rather wanting me to throw out a number first. I threw out a number (45k) and she then said that I might earn that after bonuses. I then asked what the base salary might be and rather than give it back to me in yearly terms, she gave it back in hourly terms (17) which just seemed kind of sneaky and suspicious. After calculating that roughly on a calculator, I could see that we were way off in terms of expectations.
