Interview
I had a phone interview with the vice president of the department. The next week was a panel interview with a couple of managers from the team and a member of another team that the position would be working with. After the interview, I received a call from the HR manager that they wanted to extend an offer.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meeting Professionals International in Jul 2017
Interview
Great phone interview with recruiter. Less good phone interview with hiring manager. Surprised to get an in-person interview but it was clear that it was a courtesy interview and they had already decided on an internal candidate. Hiring manager kept me waiting about 25 minutes and then she really had no questions for me, just wanted me gone.

Question 1
I met with a panel first and it was just the usual - dealing with difficult people, managing deadlines etc.

Interview
I had three interviews with MPI over the course of a few weeks. They seemed inexperienced in interviewing and in giving appropriate feedback. I had a phone interview followed by a second in person interview with a panel and then a third phone interview with a different team member. After the third interview, I never heard from them again. No follow up or communication at all which was astounding after taking the time to interview with them on three separate occasions.
It was also concerning that during the third interview I was presented with a completely different overview of the work environment and responsibilities of the position as compared to the information shared during the second interview with a different group of staff.
