I interviewed for this position over a 5 month period. I had 3 interviews- one over the phone, one in person, and the last one over Zoom. I also took a test that took me about 90 minutes to complete which they never brought up or told me how I did. I found interviewing with the managers very unprofessional. They talked about themselves most of the interview and what they were looking for instead of asking me who I was and if I possessed these skills they were looking for.
Even though I didn't get the job, they didn't have any feedback for me. The HR manager said they liked my experience and how I interviewed but went with another candidate. From my interpretation of the HR email it was "thanks for applying but don't ever apply again". I didn't understand why they closed the door on me. The manager who I was in correspondence with couldn't even break the news to me that I didn't get the job. Instead, they had HR break the news.
I sent the manager who made the decision a polite email asking for feedback that I could learn skills that would help make me better qualified for the job since this sounded like the perfect job for me. She never replied. Ghosting culture is unacceptable in the career world. I lost all respect for this manager. I feel better about not receiving the job and wish them the best.
