I applied online. I interviewed at Mesons Technologies
Interview
Interview was conducted by their CEO, he asked me about my experiences and various software engineering concepts and ideas based around the role I was applying for. Was told I had been offered to do a second round but was completely ghosted afterwards. Initial interview went well and gave off no red alarms but everything after was completely rude and unprofessional. Any attempts to contact afterword's was unsuccessful and it seems like the "second round" was a complete farce, Avoid at all costs.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me about frameworks that were key to the advertised role
Firstly they went through a quick phone interview and then the technical interview took place after almost a week, which was quite good. As they selected anyone who applied for the technical interview, it was little bothering because they did not even looked at the resume before going to the second round and none of the applicants I know who had a really good experience and technical background did not get an offer. I guess they were just advertising their company nd not really into hiring.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mesons Technologies (Scarborough, ON) in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview was taken by their CEO, he was technically well-sound. Asked me about my recent work experiences, and past ones. Then took a dive into the technical understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, React and everything. He asked for practical examples and the things you like and dislike about Frameworks. The CEO asked for another technical round with the team and congratulated me on going to the next round and then ghosted completed. Their company cell number was bogus called their someone said they are not mesons technology. Called the recruiter she would set up an interview for the next round but never got an email. They are a bunch of time wasters I would suggest looking for better companies than this.
Interview questions [6]
Question 1
How is Node.js being single-threaded to handle everything nicely behind the hood rather than choosing Java which is multi-threaded?
why would someone prefer functional-based components over class components in React? I come from a Java background I like the concept of classes better than functions why was even there a need for functions over classes?
Why is Java not there on the resume, we like a person who would work on a lot of projects with a different role. What is your experience working with server-side developing rest API endpoints? Give me an example of a project where you have made full endpoints and then used them in the front end too.
