I’m disappointed with the amount of time and effort wasted during this interview process. I participated in several rounds and was ultimately invited for an in-person interview. The session involved meeting with about ten people in a two-hour block, which was understandably intense but manageable.
However, the final segment left me confused and frustrated. I was asked, "What did you learn from our team today?"—a strange question, considering the entire interview was focused on them asking me questions. It came across as disorganized and gave me the impression something wasn’t right.
To add to the frustration, I had to pay $25 for parking at the interview location, and no validation or reimbursement was offered. Afterward, I followed up multiple times via email requesting updates but received no response. Nearly two months later, I was informed that the roles I interviewed for were no longer being filled as the organization was reevaluating its needs.
The lack of communication and overall inconsiderate handling of candidates’ time and effort was disappointing. While I understand that hiring plans can change, I would encourage the company to improve the clarity, organization, and respectfulness of its interview process.
