I applied in-person. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Michigan State University in Jul 2019
Interview
Very slow process, it took over 2 months from the time I submitted my application to the time I received an offer. First I did a 3 person panel phone interview, which involved many generic questions and a couple technical questions. Around 2-3 weeks after the phone interview I did a 4 person panel in person interview, which involved more generic questions but also quite a few hypothetical technical questions. Overall the interviews were a good experience, just don’t expect the hiring process to be quick.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Michigan State University in Oct 2019
Interview
I received an email asking for an interview about a month after I sent in my application. The interview was with a 3-person panel where they each took turns asking questions. At the end of the interview, I was told that they would be in contact within a week, two at the latest. It has now been five weeks with no response, yet their recruiter responds. It’s pretty annoying to not even get a “no, we went with someone else” after interviewing.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Michigan State University (Lansing, MI) in Apr 2016
Interview
Video interview, followed by an inperson interview. Took a long time to set everything up. The actual interview was standard compared to most interviews. I accepted the job, but could not negotiate on salary.
